neveth: (WHERE ARE MY SOCKS?!?!)
So cranky with Amazon. My teakettle rusted up rather nastily, so I got online and ordered a new one from amazon: a nice, big, Diner-style glass one. I actually got the standard 3 business day shipping and paid for it and Amazon said it would be here by the 18th. I have yet to recieve word that it has even shipped. I ordered it on the evening of the 12th. Add to my >:( at Amazon the fact that Netflix is foobared and the movie I've been wanting to see has yet to ship either and I am a cranky monkey. *sigh*

I think my only hope at this point is hard cider and my Stargate SG-1 dvd's, possibly switching to ff12.

There is a Teavana store in Northpark mall. You have no idea how happy that makes me. I got some tea, it is glorious smelling. It tastes good too, but I just want to sit there and smell it.

Got God of War for the PSP. I made it through an entire level before I hit my first "I have no idea how to solve this puzzle" room. Good times. It is suprisingly very God of War, even if it does fit in my purse. (I think I confused the counter guy at Gamestop when we bought it cause he asked if we wanted a bag, and I said "No, I'm gonna tear into it.")

Wrist is giving me vague twinges, but the application of the new brace seems to be doing me a lot of good. Now if I can just figure out what to do so my brace will stop catching on the power slider for the psp and turing my psp off while I'm playing.

Watched Enchanted. It was cute, it was funny, and lord almighty I have never seen so many homages to classic Disney before in my life. (Not to mention the background billboards mostly being plays or movies the actors have been in.) (Also the bit where the actresses who played Ariel and Belle were in the movie too.)

Due to sudden financial bonus (aka my aunt insists on paying me per hour when I come over to help with computer stuff) I managed to both hide money away for christmas presents and have enough left over to get me a couple neato thingies.

The question of the moment is whether or not I buy refills for my tea stocks. It's getting low over there in the drawer. More of the earl grey, I think, and maybe I should try some of the other greens? I just love the sensha so much.

Finally making headway through the inner pocket of Percy. So close!

things that are good - chamomile and pepermint tea. knitting, and [livejournal.com profile] selie who got me hand-dyed self-striping sock yarn for my birthday. Embroidery. My sewing machine. (I have churned out a patchwork purse/bag, a wallet, and 2 pouches. MWAHAHAHA)

bad things - dave having to go back to the office at 9:30 and being there till now. :(

I go to bed.

So I ordered 4 sample tins from Adagio teas, along with my adorable teapot, and I have finally tried them all. I highly reccommend them to the tea-buyer as their shipping charges are cheap, fast, and very nice. Not to mention sample(usually about 10 cups worth) tins of most of their teas.

Tea dorkery )

In other news I finished today my Sari-Silk scarf. It is geeeeorgeous and oh-so-soft.
[EDIT]

click the picture for a bigger version in my lj gallery

Also I got a booklight so hopefully I can read and not keep He of the Awesome Beard awake! (I am perfectly allowed to think my boyfriend's beard is just as righteous as our friends do. Happily he is never scratchy in his face hair. Even when stubbly. The mustache tickles sometimes though.)

- The blanket goes. I'll probbably put up a picture of it's current size and progress tomorrow. Would do it now but I am tired and lazy.

- Am trying to come up with something interesting to knit when I don't want to work on the blanket. So far choices are a lace something or.. well. I don't know what. I told Dave I'd make him a hat at some point, perhaps I could start that. Hafta wind the yarn though. bleh. and the hat's not exactly INTERESTING. ah well, I'm sure I can come up with SOMETHING.

- Am gearing up for a replaying of Kingdom Hearts 2 at some point here. I know I missed some plot thingums here and there and I knew I was gonna play it twice aaaaanyway.

- Finally got around to watching the 2005 Pride and Prejudice. <3. It's gorgeous and lovely and makes me giggle in all the appropriate places.

- It's been rainy/raining the past two days! GLORIOUS. Sadly though I think that's the last of the rain for a bit, but HOORAY RAIN!

- At the Ikea store I picked up a set of teacups and saucers.... But I'm still without a teapot. I really need to fix that. Regretting letting Mom have my old one. Oh well.

- In RP Suikogaiden news : "Can love bloom on the battlefield?" *dies of laughter* I certianly hope that guy is a star of Destiny or I'll be suprised.
