Have a gnarly respiratory infection, and am currently taking a cavalcade of drugs, which is quite the experience. Cough syrup knocks me out, steroids make me hyper and have hot flashes. And hungry. CONSTANTLY. *sigh*  The antibiotics don't seem to do much of anything except make me better, so that's something at least.

Hunter games going well. The one in the game with Bag-Head, if she plays her cards right she can hook up with at LEAST one member of a ska band who wear kilts and sneakers and nothing else. This is delightful for her. Deirdre continues to delight, even though she got attacked last night. MYSTERIOUS HAUNTED KNIFE! :D

Books and books and Dragon Age Awakening, and some Folklore. This is what I am doing in my spare time. Which there is a lot of because boss is moving to Austin, so I will be jobless come May. Fucking sucks, man. I loved this job.

Plan for this weekend:
  • Remain vitamin and medicated up. Gotta kick whatever this is's ass.
  • Go on grocery run which may necessitate a run to the Chinese megagrocery if the Japanese store has no kamabuko or aburaage or hijiki seaweed (I is making udon and homemade inarizushi, the canned stuff is too sweet)
  • finish the Zunesock, but the pocket for headphones can wait if necessary.
  • work on Noro Striped Scarf (I have been infected too. fleeeee for your liiiives. Also I am really loving Silk Garden.)
  • sleep. lots oif it.
  • cook at least once, if not twice, actual meals.
  • make it to 68 and bound gleefully for Northrend.

Man they were not kidding when the packaging for the new BC pills said I would experience some tenderness of the boobs. I have never been so aware of my boobs in my LIFE. Ow.

happy times have come again! The switch to the new BP medicine also means I can start taking decongestants again in moderation. Hooray!

... I wonder if a bath would be good for me or bad? argh argh. Stupid boobs. ow.

Doc's appt went well enough. Blood pressure still too high so I have been switched to a different med and told to try and avoid all salt for the next month and see what that does. Got to change my birth control too, which was nice, to not have to wait till August. Have to go back next month so they can see if the new medicine is going to agree with my body okay.

Dave was deathly ill this weekend but he seems marginally better today. I've not seen him get up yet, but he is no longer in the grips of death nausea.

Got up too damn early. I have a headache.

God bless the pharmacy tech at Walgreen's. Doc had written me a prescription for an antibiotic and the tech said without insurance it would be $200 - but she said she'd call the doctor and have them switch to a smaller dose pill, and then it would only be $27. (went from 1 pill twice daily to 3 pills twice daily.) Doctor agreed and thus my life is much good.

I have also been stuck. The shudder will commence soon - it is one big motherfuckin needle. Mom is most skilled however and there is usually little to no pain. There's always the sore spot afterwards. ah well.

[EDIT] Also bought a small notebook to try and make into a food diary - Mom convinced me it would be good to help pin down my food-based migraine triggers. It's up in the air seeing how well I keep up with it. Also should any one care the Walgreen's had some of the Dr. Bronner liquid soaps. Fair trade and all.

So, I should have remembered that taking allergy meds the morning after having taken a muscle relaxant results in my having the general energy-levels of a slug or sloth. I did not remember this fact, however, and now it is a struggle to remain upright. Should the sluggishness continue, I have some ice-cream (Vermonty Python) that I can eat to see if it helps, but otherwise I may be screwed. This rootbeer does not seem to be helping in any way.

need to remember to get my meds refilled tonight.

Sly is having a mighty sulk, and I cannot figure out why. very sad. Perhaps if I end up on the couch he will come sit on/by my feets.

Oh, and Overlord for the 360 looks pretty nifty. Heh.

The sun was out all day yesterday, but today is slightly overcast. It's so weird. It's June! The rain normally has been absent for a few weeks by this point! Granted, I like having the showers and storms, because it keeps it a bit cooler out, but the heat and humidity KILL me. ah well.

Woke up this morning just in time to save my pillowcases from destruction. IE I woke up just as a nosebleed started so I didn't get blood everywhere, Hooray! I went back to sleep after it stopped and overslept a tad. I've had a low-grade sinus headache since I awoke the second time, and it's getting worse. Now to go ahead and break down and use the strong allergy meds and hope they don't knock me out entirely. Not that I really have anything to DO with my evening, but being coherent and awake would be nice.

heard albertsons was hiring, applied. Dunno what they pay cashiers, but money is money.

Am waiting for my food to finish cooking so's I can take a god damn nap - then I'll... well, who knows.

Got test results back from doctor - hypothyroidisim. Means? I now I have a reason why I'm so tired all the time and I've been gaining weight. started my meds today, so here's hoping that'll fix it. If nothing else I'll be glad to not be tired all the time, even if I don't start losing this weight.

Hurt my wrist pretty bad trying to get everyone's christmas presents knitted in time - several days of carpal tunnel pain. it's better now, but I have a wrist brace just in case. And not everyone's presents are finished. I'm trying.

It took me waaaay too long to write this because my spelling is exceptionally bad since I'm so tired. Jen want food so she can take a nap. waaaaah.

I have conquered the double pointed needles! Started working on a pattern for some socks, and I actually made it quite a ways in... and then realized I had really messed up the short-rows a few rows back, and had to rip it apart. Ah well. I know I can do it now, which is the point. I may end up making gloves instead. WHO KNOWS?

ran out of my non-drowsy allergy meds today. Alas.

Just to make all of my northern friends jealous, it was 75 degrees Fahrenheit. today. This has to be one of the MILDEST winters I've ever seen. It gets down to about 45 at night, 70's/mid 60's during the day, with occasional bursts of COLD.

right, now I'm going to bed, and you can't stop me. Ha-ha!

why is it when I know i have to get up at a certian time, I CANNOT SLEEP?

oh for the love of christ. I went to bed an hour ago. I was tired. I HAVE YET to sleep. I gave up because the tingling stuffyness of my ears is driving me INSANE. I honestly think I'm coming down with something, which rates high on the not-cool and the not-what-I-need-right-now scales. Wheeee, just checked and me glands are swolen. LOVELY. I wonder if it would be possible for me to nyquil and still be able to get up and going by 6, or if I should just try and ignore it and try and go to sleep. Cause I am tired. so ver tired. but the pressure and tingling of my ears is ... auuuurgh.

well this is turning out to be to be a habit. Despite my attempts, I think I am incapable of going to work at gamestop on a given day having had a full night's rest, or any rest at all.
