Sigh, I'm suffering an overload of things I could be doing, all of which are fun, but I am likely going to stick with playing a game, either Mass Effect 2 or Professor Layton. So It goes~

Also I think I may have hit my limit on concurrent RP games: 2 d&D campaigns, and two Changeling campaigns. Braaaaain

Got a radio adapter for my Zune. At only $9 I figured it was worth a shot, and it is the official merch. It seems to be working pretty well, which is quite nice. Saves me shelling out for a car stereo when I can't really afford to do that any time soon.

I've totally gone evil-genius with my buildings in Minecraft. A glass tower that reaches the clouds with lavafalls cascading from the top? Just screams Evil, I think.

Making an actual post! SHOCKING. I know, I am bad at this whole LJ thing anymore.

Currently flailing over: Leverage (now caught up on Season 3. EEEEEEEEEE Parker and Hardison!), Burn Notice, White Collar, Psych, The Guild, and some nerdy, NERDY shit like a rewatch of Coffee Prince, SNSD, of all things, and mad RP. Also Arkham Horror is great fun. Plus I am partaking of the great biannual rewatch of SG-1. looking at that it seems like I have a lot of spare time, but not really?

Speaking of RP: DANG! I have a nice stable of characters at the moment and it looks like there will be somebody new added soon. How delightful! Only one currently active is the Teacher in one of Justin's Hunter campaigns. She's delightful! And so adorable at the moment because she's got a boyfriend now! Who might end up being horribly murdered, or the big bad, or not be down with the fact that she's kind of a Vigilante as a side job. I could/should do a run down of my characters just because, but I don't want to be that guy in the store who wants to tell you about his character. *sigh*

Will is talking of running a hard sci-fi game at some point soon and that would be fucking sweet. COLONY SHIP. DUDE, I AM SO THERE. And then I'm planning on running a D&D 4e one shot for my mom and some people because Mom has been missing both playing and D&D so that should be fun. I hope I'm not bad at the whole GM-ing thing.

Work is awesome even if last week was the week from hell. I think they returned all 94,000+books circulated for June at once or something. CHRIST. People who have been there for 12 years have never seen it that bad. Which is why I'm glad this was my off week and I had 4 days off in a row.

Went shopping for much needed work clothes over the weekend. Got a gorgeous skirt, some multipurpose shirts and some shoes. I need to go get some sort of liners for the shoes to keep my feet happy, but they are pretty nice. :D

Got Dragon Quest 9, and it is good times! It's got the funny and the cute, and I rather enjoyed designing my character. And the party members. My entire party is Norse themed at the moment. it may change. Kind of tempted to do some sort of Dresden Files naming scheme.

Man I need to re-institute bike picnic lunches since I'm not working at current and the weather is lovely. I can be good and healthy and bike down to duck creek, eat my lunch, and ride my bike back. That would be nice. I should get a pump for my bike. Hm.

Also the new dresden files book is out! EEEEEEEE.

Have a gnarly respiratory infection, and am currently taking a cavalcade of drugs, which is quite the experience. Cough syrup knocks me out, steroids make me hyper and have hot flashes. And hungry. CONSTANTLY. *sigh*  The antibiotics don't seem to do much of anything except make me better, so that's something at least.

Hunter games going well. The one in the game with Bag-Head, if she plays her cards right she can hook up with at LEAST one member of a ska band who wear kilts and sneakers and nothing else. This is delightful for her. Deirdre continues to delight, even though she got attacked last night. MYSTERIOUS HAUNTED KNIFE! :D

Books and books and Dragon Age Awakening, and some Folklore. This is what I am doing in my spare time. Which there is a lot of because boss is moving to Austin, so I will be jobless come May. Fucking sucks, man. I loved this job.

boy thinks I should get an eye exam. I am inclined to agree. Getting more and more farsighted as I age, and I can't read for as long before developing a headache. :( I have a nasty one right now but I don't know if it's because I've been reading http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/ for a few hours and it's eyetrain or the usual headache. It is also hard to focus my eyes right now. Alas.

Favorites from SCP foundation so far include http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-294 and http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-914

Today: of middling quality. Ah well. We did watch a lot of season 2 of Burn Notice, which is GOOD. Damn. :D

Since I am off tomorrow the plan is to acquire a sunshade and other car paraphernalia (the interior of Vir is black. God I hate burning myself on the shift!) and make a crapton of gyoza. I plan on freezing what I don't eat tomorrow to eat for the next week or two in lunches or meals. Hooray!

And then I am going to try and get Beast Wars to play through the xbox, oh god I am so lame.

A good day:
- Knitting group, in which I taught someone delighted to learn how to purl, slip stitches, and change colors
- Hanging out with friends, which involved dinner at a nice wood-fired pizza place in downtown Plano (deliciousest crust I have ever had)
- Rooockband
- A single shot of damn good tequila

Now however I am exhausted.

Has anybody on teh friendslist bought a car? I'm going used, and cheap, but it is from carmax. After today I am pretty goddamn sure I do not want to be walking a block and a half in 101F heat, plus the shit air quality that is downtown Dallas. (Orange alert air quality day? THAT IS EVERYDAY IN DOWNTOWN ARGH) Anyway, I have no idea what one needs to bring when one plans to buy a car or whatever. Since I don't work for a place that has pay stubs, should it be a bank statement showing I do indeed make money regularly? It seems taxes are lumped in with the financing, but are there other fees? HELP.

So very tired still. Finally managed to pass out last night around 1, I slept so hard I don't even remember dreaming.  Also my stomach is doing strange things, but I can't take the antacids because they will fight with the antibiotics.  Also I think the mucinex isnt helping me stay alert but oh well. have to get his shit out of my skull SOMEHOW.

My threadless shirts came huzzah! Now to decide which I will wear today. And what I am going to do for lunch. And weekend plans. And Can I just go back to bed? :D No I HAVE to go to work today jesus I am so broke.

mmmmmnaaaagh, You know that point where you feel kinda drunk on tireness and everything's kind of funny? Yeah that's me.

So I've been reading kindle books on my iphone. This has been an effective test for if I want an actual kindle. It is DAMN handy to be able to read whatever, whenever, whilst I am out and about in the world. Since I am currently knitting a lace shawl, it requires too much brain to do on a train when I need to be able to just stop that second so I can get off, having something to read always with me is nice.

Granted, I AM a gadget whore, and want a kindle just for the sheer niftiness of it.

Lace shawl: Currently working on a Shipwreck, in Brooks Farm yarn. ( Ravelry Link ) On the second section on lace. Not hard, but I do have to pay attention.

Apartment search is now a decision between 2 complexes - one the floorplans are kind of boring and generic, but cheap. The other is a better floorplan, but more expensive.  They're about the same in size.  I do have to say the living rooms are very poorly designed in the Former complex. All these weird angles.

It has been raining/rainy for days. While I'm sure the rain is good for us, I'm feeling HELLA blah. Headaches too.  I have been catching up on my sleep though since it never really gets light in the bedroom on days like this so I have no indication the sun has risen other than the clock.

Been playing Pokemon off and on. I love my lineup but I freely admit I play for the cute, not the building a badass team.

Right, I do believe it's bedtime. Work tomorrow for the first time this week, boss-lady has been very busy with some charity fashion show she was sort of drafted for, so I haven't gone in this week. Booo lack of money.
