Have a gnarly respiratory infection, and am currently taking a cavalcade of drugs, which is quite the experience. Cough syrup knocks me out, steroids make me hyper and have hot flashes. And hungry. CONSTANTLY. *sigh*  The antibiotics don't seem to do much of anything except make me better, so that's something at least.

Hunter games going well. The one in the game with Bag-Head, if she plays her cards right she can hook up with at LEAST one member of a ska band who wear kilts and sneakers and nothing else. This is delightful for her. Deirdre continues to delight, even though she got attacked last night. MYSTERIOUS HAUNTED KNIFE! :D

Books and books and Dragon Age Awakening, and some Folklore. This is what I am doing in my spare time. Which there is a lot of because boss is moving to Austin, so I will be jobless come May. Fucking sucks, man. I loved this job.

in healthy and good but mildly annoying news - I am drinking lots of water these days. LOTS. I get my 8 glasses and then some. But our water-filter-pitcher can barely keep up. I tell a lie - it's can't, not when I can and do down a glass in 10 minutes. Oh well. My skin looks GREAT however! :D

Ugh.

Have a tenative appointment with the Doctor tomorrow at 8:30 because last night I started coughing right before bed and this morning it is nasty (tickle in throat, tightness in chest, coughing, nasty taste in back of throat) I sound a little hoarse.

now to make soup and decide whether or not I should go to work.

I would very much like to stop feeling so stressed and crunched for time. It is not helping this migraine I've had for days at all! Although it IS adding to the stress because I know I should stop and take it easy "BUT I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THAT AAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHH" and then it hurts worse and then I have to make a dash for the toilet.

Mantra for self: "Yes the stuff needs doing but hurting myself to get it done by my self-imposed deadline will only result in said things not getting done." repeat. "I will not stress over things not in my control" repeat.

stresses:
dishwasher is broken and practically every dish and pot we have is dirty. we have no dish rack. aaaaaaaaaaugh.
have to finish cleaning the living room
mop
scour rental sites to find possible apartment complexes to live in. (anybody know of one that searches duplexes and/or rental houses?)
make lunch for the next day
having enough time in the day to get everything done

Boy made me stay home from work today so I would REST and RELAX and I am trying hard but I keep thinking of all the things I SHOULD be doing if I wasn't such a lame-ass and taken down by a stupid fucking headache. I have no tolerance for my own limits, it seems.

Boy is at Street fighter 4 tourney because our weekend is fucked, thank you AT&T, and I was SUPPOSED to do work tonight except I think I pushed too hard after having a wee fever and I feel like warmed over shit with a headache and no energy whatsoever. I think I will lay on the couch and watch something I've seen a zillion times and snooze till boy gets home.

a note: if the strike happens (likely) I will not have any mode of transportation other than public transit due to Boy having to work 12 hour days in HURST 6 days a week. We will be rolling in money if this lasts longer than a week but it is going to be SHIT during it.

Job is awesome though I stabbed myself but GOOD with a pin today. Deep and at an angle RIGHT on the pad of my index finger.  Ow.

There was a wonderful Texas Thunderstorm a little while ago. Then it stopped raining and it was just a lightning storm. (as in flashes every couple of seconds for at least 10 minutes straight.) :D I love that kind of weather! At least when I don't have to be anywhere!

Tomorrow is for crochet and Angelic Layer and a bit of cookery. Got one of those fancy-ass Japanese rice cookers and so far it has not done me wrong.  The timer function is godly. The rice is cooked and done by the time I get up in the morning? Or by the time I get home from Work? AWESOME. Going to make garlic pasta with veggies tomorrow for lunch. trying to avoid oils and fatty foods to see if that helps my tummy any. Today's lunch of onigiri with umeboshi, strawberries, and grape tomatoes was eaten with nary a flutter from the tummy regions after wards. Which reminds me I need to go get more strawberries. I got the carton just to eat yesterday but they work really well in a bento box.  Plus they are on sale. Maybe some other fruit.

Friday: Discovered much to my dismay that fried foods REALLY don't like me (woe), then when I was feeling better went over to Will's for an evening of Drunk Fighter(Street Fighter Drinking game: Take a drink every time you win a match). While I didn't drink due to recently upset tummy, Boy got ROYALLY and MAGNIFICENTLY smashed. Which was fine until we got home at 4am and he proceeded to start on being VERY violently ill and then hung over. So I was up till 6 am pulling sickie duty until he could get to sleep.

Saturday: Woke up around 11am. Went to check on Boy (who was camped on the couch for fear of movement). Still miserable. Spent the afternoon nursing him back to humanity. around 5 he was capable of food again. Headed out to Sherman around 6pm(with Boy's blessing) for a 1-shot Hunter: the Vigil campaign. (shut up. When run well White Wolf doesn't give me hives.) Had a great deal of fun dealing with cultists and demons and Zombies. Game wrapped up around 6:45am. loaded up on coffee and drove home. Got home around 8am. Was so tired it hurt to move by that point. Stumbled to bed and passed out.

Sunday: Woke up at noon. Still tired but developing a headache so the best cure was to get up and do. Since I had to cancel Mom and my's lunch plans on Saturday due to needing to take care of Boy, IM'd Mom and said we could try again today, but I am very sleep lacking so I may be kind of goofy. Headed out to Mesquite with her with season 1 of Burn Notice. Ate, went back to the house for SPIES, SPOOKS, and HILARITY, and I'm pretty sure I passed out on the couch for a bit. Went back to Richardson, grabbed food since Boy was on a Raid and I would not want to go out again or cook, and came home and crashed.

I am feeling better today, but lawsy. The kitchen's a mess and I am STARVING. I guess I should get on that.
