To my amusement, I found out the other day there is a sizeable subsection of Boy's family that is very devoutly religious christian. And apparently it rather bother's them that Boy and I live together but aren't married. Boy's mother warned me of this because Thanksgiving is coming and we were working out who was going where. They apparently ask her many the hilarious and awkward question, and she wanted to spare me the same treatment.  I am kind of relieved. Most everyone's family I know quite likes me and it is kind of a relief to know I bother SOMEBODY.

I do so want "Living in Sin!" on a t-shirt.

Happily, my own family doesn't seem to care at all.

Well hello again crippling stress levels. How nice of you to visit again. Only now I can actually feel my blood pressure skyrocket and this is unpleasant. And the whole not eating thing is uncool. Like now. I am making myself eat. It doesn't smell good. I don't feel hungry. But I haven't eaten in like 6 hours. And THAT was half a chik-fil-a sandwich.

This have taken a sudden and abrupt turn for the amazingly un-cool, and I don't think my friends will see me much. Hell, I don't even want to be around my Boy. I keep restraining myself from telling him to go away cause I can't handle dealing with people right now. I keep feeling like I'm expected to do something and I don't know what it is and I get MORE stressed out and then I do what I did yesterday which was leave without a word and go on a 3 mile walk. UUUUUUUUURGH.

I cannot tell you how much I don't want to go to work. BUT I HAVE to because money is one of the primary stressors. Can I just go and listen to my headphones and not be expected to be a person? please?

Watched Bram Stoker's Dracula last night with Boy's sister. Man. I LUST after Winona Rider's wardrobe in that movie. Unf.

So very exhausted. Was visiting Boy's family all day, and man it's exhausting when I am visiting my OWN family, let alone visiting ones where I have to watch what I say. (no cussing and no "liberal" perspective.) Also hot. Do they not believe in air conditioning? augh. Had a nice cool soak and I am feeling better. Waiting now for the washer to beep, so I can put the laundry in the dryer and go to bed.

Wanting blue-black hair, but not sure the best way to achieve that. Buy some blue Manic Panic and dye my hair with that, OR buy some of the Caca Noir from lush? The lush boards are no help because everyone there is going for red-brown and I'm wanting the blooooo-black.  Truthfully the Manic Panic is cheaper and easier to use. I have had excellent luck with their dyes in the past.

Also, Boy got a job offer today! HOT DAMN.

Friday: Discovered much to my dismay that fried foods REALLY don't like me (woe), then when I was feeling better went over to Will's for an evening of Drunk Fighter(Street Fighter Drinking game: Take a drink every time you win a match). While I didn't drink due to recently upset tummy, Boy got ROYALLY and MAGNIFICENTLY smashed. Which was fine until we got home at 4am and he proceeded to start on being VERY violently ill and then hung over. So I was up till 6 am pulling sickie duty until he could get to sleep.

Saturday: Woke up around 11am. Went to check on Boy (who was camped on the couch for fear of movement). Still miserable. Spent the afternoon nursing him back to humanity. around 5 he was capable of food again. Headed out to Sherman around 6pm(with Boy's blessing) for a 1-shot Hunter: the Vigil campaign. (shut up. When run well White Wolf doesn't give me hives.) Had a great deal of fun dealing with cultists and demons and Zombies. Game wrapped up around 6:45am. loaded up on coffee and drove home. Got home around 8am. Was so tired it hurt to move by that point. Stumbled to bed and passed out.

Sunday: Woke up at noon. Still tired but developing a headache so the best cure was to get up and do. Since I had to cancel Mom and my's lunch plans on Saturday due to needing to take care of Boy, IM'd Mom and said we could try again today, but I am very sleep lacking so I may be kind of goofy. Headed out to Mesquite with her with season 1 of Burn Notice. Ate, went back to the house for SPIES, SPOOKS, and HILARITY, and I'm pretty sure I passed out on the couch for a bit. Went back to Richardson, grabbed food since Boy was on a Raid and I would not want to go out again or cook, and came home and crashed.

I am feeling better today, but lawsy. The kitchen's a mess and I am STARVING. I guess I should get on that.

Man I hope I get to laze around tomorrow. Boy's sister is in town and we've been out with her every night for the past 4 days.  I am all sociable'd out. Not that I begrudge her the time, she does live in Washington and can only come down once a year, but still.  I am not used to this much social activity. Structured social activity anyway.

The moon has been pretty.

It is amazing how sweet boy can be when he wants to be. Random hug attacks ftw.

  1. Today I bought 3.25yds of a grey linen/rayon fabric with a tiny rosebud print to make an ankle-length half-circle skirt to wear this summer. I have a similar skirt I love dearly, but it is wool and far far far too hot to wear anymore. I may have to go to Mom's so I have help doing the bottom hem.

  2. Still have bloody snot, so I am gonna talk to Mom tomorrow and see if she can swing taking me to the doctor (Dave's week is full of meetings).

  3. I am eating a cup of miso soup with egg noodles. It is tasty, but powdered miso is never as good as the real thing. I may go munch on an artichoke as well.

  4. The mail may have potentially lost a Netflix DVD. If so I will be realllly unhappy.

  5. Getting ready to apply a couple places again, I will either luck out or continue as I have been. (if I do get a job I start saving for either a scooter or to buy Mom's car off her thus getting her the down payment on a new car)

  6. Dave has to go to bed early and thus has to get up early but I am so not tired. Maybe I will stay up and watch something.

[EDIT] You have no idea how much I want one of these -> LED SHOWER LIGHT

Notice to all and sundry - Due to events, I am on a mild hair-trigger right now. Having dealt with a morning (7:30 am to 11:am) filled with barely controlled worry-hysterics, my ability to cope with shit has been severely reduced. I expect my regular levels to return in a couple of days. Hopefully.

That said, MAN, they make some really good dark chocolate bars these days. This is also a good day for recreational boozin, except I just started new blood pressure meds and don't want to make things crazy by adding booze.

And spinning today was suprisingly soothing, though it just reinforces my desire for a wheel. I understand all the people who love spindles, but they just don't do anything for me.

Doc's appt went well enough. Blood pressure still too high so I have been switched to a different med and told to try and avoid all salt for the next month and see what that does. Got to change my birth control too, which was nice, to not have to wait till August. Have to go back next month so they can see if the new medicine is going to agree with my body okay.

Dave was deathly ill this weekend but he seems marginally better today. I've not seen him get up yet, but he is no longer in the grips of death nausea.

Got up too damn early. I have a headache.
